I work with micro electronics everyday and would love to see more in depth circuit repairs at the component level. I specialize in compinent level industrial board repair. With a focus on test equipment/metrology gear. I have been stunned at the complexity and design genius displayed in high end electronic watches. I had no idea they could be so perfectly realized. Everything from ceramic substrate boards, to "hardened" components. Usually stuff only seem in the aerospace industry. I guess it never occurred to me there are electronic watches just as high end as some of the mechanical.

Is it some kind of hybrid movement with both a capacitor and a rotor arm??

If u use vinegar mixes with baking soda it works 10 times better. Just have to be gentle on the dial while doing it

probably worth about $9500 in 'new condition'/restored...but, the real sales point has to be the video, which describes the process. i.e. the watch is authentic. otherwise, you'll get a small amount of the actual price...like, under $3000.

Another example of fine workmanship.. Great restoration and do like your son's dial. Going 'California' looks really great with that piece and strap. Tho it's not the watch that was, it looks pretty awesome. Excellent job there, once again. Kudos.
